PRAISE FOR DYNAMIC PAINTING

I want to take a moment to thank you for an extraordinary week of learning and growing! You are not only a fine and unique artist but you are also an incredible teacher. Having been a teacher for over forty years … I know a great one when I see one!
I always felt as though you consistently could analyze where the next step would be to make a painting better. I also noticed that you were able to find the elements of a painter’s work to build upon, in a positive and nurturing atmosphere no matter the level of the workmanship. You have an instinctive sense of where the heads of the learners reside.
The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and yet no nonsense.
Your PowerPoint presentations were extremely instructive. At no point did I think the process revolved around you but instead around the students. That’s a hallmark of a great teacher.
I walked away with a distinct feeling that I have grown, but even more importantly I left with an enthusiasm to paint more. I am grateful for that. The week went so fast, I left wishing it hadn’t ended.
