I return to the motif of windows often. This one is in Solvang, CA, a strikingly picturesque town established by Danish immigrants in the early 1900s.

It is said we like to paint (or collect) subjects that have symbolic meaning to us. For example, a country road can represent the start of a new adventure, unconventional choices (the road is less traveled), or connecting with nature. For me, a window means introspection, looking inward. What does it symbolize to you?

"Soaking up Sunshine" comes in a gold frame.
