On a hot Sunday in June, I painted with my fellow painters
in the Washington Society of Landscape Painters at the Belle Haven Marina in Alexandria.
I set up next to the boat launch at the Belle Haven Marina.
So many dogs plunged into the river to cool off at this spot I began calling it the “Dog Launch.”
