Zen Garden

I began this little painting "en plein air" (outdoors) at Meadowlark Gardens 
and finished it in the studio. 
The expansive lotus pond at Meadowlark seems to be a well-kept secret 
as it is not crowded at all. 
Lotus symbolize rising above adversity 
because they are planted in much and break through to the sunshine.
